Job summary

Job description

As the Senior Manager of DC Operations and Process Improvement, you will spearhead the operational strategy, process design, and physical execution for our multi-temperature fresh supply chain network. Handling predominantly fresh and short shelf-life products, your mandate is to optimize mid-stream supply chain operations to ensure maximum freshness to our retail stores and end-consumers. You will drive continuous improvement, resolve operational pain points through systemic solutions, and introduce innovative technologies to maintain high productivity and efficiency.

Supply Chain Process Design & Strategic Planning

• Process Optimization: Design and map processes from suppliers to the distribution center, and finally to stores/consumers, creating differentiated supply chain models tailored to specific product category characteristics.
• Standardization & Best Practices: Formulate comprehensive operational standards (SOPs), KPI systems, and monitoring mechanisms for various supply chain categories to output best practices and form replicable solution templates.
• Collaboration with upstream(product/sourcing) to downstream(retail stores) for an end-to-end operational model.

Solution Design & Project Implementation

• Resolve Business Pain Points: Proactively address critical issues such as high shrinkage, out-of-stocks, and delivery delays by proposing and implementing systematic solutions that encompass process, system, and mechanism improvements.
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Lead cross-departmental collaboration, driving consensus and execution alongside procurement, warehousing, logistics, store operations, technology, and data departments to ensure successful project implementation.
• System Integration & Optimization: Lead or participate in the functional design and optimization of supply chain systems (WMS, WCS, TMS) to fluidly manage routing logic and improve overall efficiency.

Data-Driven Operations & Technology Innovation

• Advanced Data Analysis: Establish analytical models for the product supply chain, utilizing data modeling and visualization to continuously monitor core KPIs and identify clear improvement opportunities.
• Technology & Model Exploration: Research and integrate new technologies such as AI forecasting, IoT temperature control, and automated sortation to elevate supply chain efficiency. Explore innovative models like direct sourcing, order agriculture, and shared warehousing/distribution.
• Omni-Channel Automation Efficiency: Optimize the use of warehouse automation equipment for both B2B bulk handling and B2C e-commerce velocity.

Relevant Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Food Engineering, or Business Administration.
• 8 to 15 years of relevant management experience, deeply familiar with the fresh food industry's characteristics, supply chain situations, and operation models.
• Solution Capability: Strong structured thinking skills, capable of designing end-to-end solutions starting directly from operational problems, effectively balancing process, system, and organizational synergy.
• Data Proficiency: Highly proficient in data analysis, capable of performing advanced data modeling and visual analysis to drive operational decisions.
• Project Management: Extensive cross-departmental project driving experience, able to expertly manage requirements, progress, and resources to ensure successful on-ground implementation.
• Communication & Coordination: Exceptional ability to communicate seamlessly across multiple parties including frontline operations, technology, procurement, and logistics teams to build consensus and drive execution.
