Job summary

NTU is seeking a Senior Assistant Manager to lead the operation and maintenance of M&E services in the Office of Development and Facilities Management. The role involves overseeing Fire Protection, Plumbing, Sanitary & Gas, Lift, and ELV systems, and coordinating upgrades for reliability and safety.

You will manage contractors, review maintenance data, and drive improvements while ensuring compliance with statutory and university standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Facilities Management.
• 5+ years' experience in facilities management or M&E related field.
• Strong technical understanding of building services M&E systems to enable design review and fault diagnosis.
• Hands-on experience supervising term contractors on-site and ensuring safety compliance.
• Strong project management and organizational skills for multi-priority workloads.
• Excellent communication skills and proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of Fire Protection, Plumbing, Sanitary & Gas, Lift, and ELV systems.
• Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance by term contractors for reliability and uptime.
• Review maintenance reports and system performance to identify issues and improvements.
• Oversee contractors to ensure works meet contract, safety, and service standards.
• Manage asset condition, maintenance history, and lifecycle information.
• Oversee upgrading projects to enhance safety, reliability, and accessibility.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors during projects.
• Ensure M&E works comply with statutory requirements and internal governance.
