Job summary

AMBITION GROUP SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks a Senior Linux Platform Operations Engineer to own the operational health of large-scale Linux infrastructure in production and non-production environments.

The role is highly hands-on and focused on production support, incident management, maintenance execution, platform reliability, and continuous improvement. You will automate using Python and Shell, manage bare-metal servers and storage, and coordinate changes within change-management processes while

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Linux systems administration and infrastructure operations in large-scale, 24x7 environments.
• Deep expertise in Linux OS administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and kernel fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Salt, Puppet, or Ansible for configuration management.
• Python and Shell scripting for automation and tooling.
• Experience with bare-metal servers and enterprise storage (SAN/NAS/RAID/NVMe).
• Hands-on with Grafana and Prometheus for monitoring and observability.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational health, availability, and performance of Linux infrastructure across production and non-production environments.
• Lead weekend maintenance, system upgrades, patching, failover testing, and recovery exercises.
• Act as senior escalation point for Linux incidents, drive triage, resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Administer bare-metal Linux servers, storage systems, and configuration management platforms.
• Execute and monitor production changes per change management processes.
• Develop and maintain operational automation using Python and Shell scripting.
• Support monitoring, observability, and capacity management through dashboards and reporting.
• Create and maintain runbooks and recovery documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, SRE, Security, and Infra teams to improve reliability.
