Job summary

Lenovo is seeking an Operations Support specialist to monitor and optimize data center infrastructure in Singapore. You will troubleshoot incidents, apply patches, and coordinate with vendors to drive permanent resolutions while maintaining runbooks and knowledge bases.

The role requires hands-on experience with Hyper-V, Windows Server, and RHEL, plus CIS hardening and ITIL familiarity. Strong networking and vendor management are essential for success in a dynamic tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years hands-on experience building and deploying data center infrastructure, working on Hyper-V, Windows Servers, REHL, CyberArk PAM and Veeam Data Backup products.
• Experience with Hyper-V cluster setup, vNIC, and vSwitch configuration.
• Experience with performing CIS hardening on Windows 2022 Data Center & REHL, GPO deployment.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS).
• Familiarity with ITIL change and incident management processes.
• Good knowledge of networking (IP addressing, routing, VLANs).
• Knowledge of BMC Control-M is preferred
• Knowledge of implementing firewall rules, support network switches is preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor system performance, capacity, and error logs; fine-tune configurations as needed.
• Troubleshoot incidents, apply hotfixes/patches, and coordinate with vendors/product teams for permanent resolutions.
• Create and maintain knowledge base documentation and operational runbooks.
• Implement proactive monitoring and alerting to prevent recurrence of issues.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for optimization, automation, and performance improvements.
• Provide support for hardware and infrastructure issues escalated from the customer team.
• Proactively identify and resolve performance issues.
