The role requires 5+ years of professional cooking experience, ability to work independently and in a team, and a capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. Rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional cooking experience.
• Able to work independently and as part of a kitchen team.
• Able to handle a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen hygiene.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays where required.
• Candidates with relevant specialised cuisine experience will be considered favourably.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to established recipes, quality standards and presentation requirements.
• Handle daily kitchen preparation, cooking and food production.
• Maintain consistent food quality, taste, portioning and presentation.
• Ensure proper food handling, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
• Monitor ingredients and minimise food wastage.
• Assist with stock checking, storage and kitchen organisation.
• Work efficiently during busy service periods and maintain consistent output.
• Follow food safety, workplace safety and kitchen operating procedures.
• Perform other reasonable kitchen duties as required.
