• Proven experience leading the design of complex enterprise products or services across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the cross-product experience direction by establishing a shared experience vision and design principles across the three product areas, aligning common journeys without forcing different workflows into a single model.
• Lead discovery with specialist users through interviews, observation, workshops and usability testing, then translate findings into prioritised problems and actionable design decisions.
• Design end-to-end services by mapping current and future journeys, including offline activities, approvals, cross-division handoffs and external touchpoints, and identify where process simplification adds more value than a new system feature.
• Lead priority journeys from concept to delivery, developing user flows, prototypes and interface designs for high-impact or complex journeys, and review implementation to ensure the delivered experience matches the agreed design intent.
• Lead the development of a shared design system, establishing reusable components, interaction patterns, content guidance and accessibility standards with product teams and delivery partners.
• Design document-heavy and rules-based workflows with clear status, version context, permissions, validation and error recovery to reduce cognitive load without compromising legal precision.
• Agree meaningful experience measures with product managers (such as task completion, time on task, avoidable errors and support demand) and use research and product data to assess whether changes improve users' work.
• Support users in transitioning from legacy systems by designing clear navigation, continuity and guidance so officers can continue their work with confidence while old and new systems coexist.
• Build AGC's internal design capability by mentoring designers and strengthening research, critique and design delivery practices, and ensuring design assets and research insights remain within AGC.
