Job summary

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant cooking/kitchen operations experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Leadership and people-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall kitchen operation and ensure food preparation meets quality and safety standards.
• Hire stall staff, manage food and stock purchasing, and ensure training on proper procedures.
• Promote good relations with staff, contractors and management.
• Screen applicants, hire new employees, supervise and counsel staff, and handle promotions and dismissals.
• Supervise multidisciplinary teams including cleaning, maintenance, grounds, and security.
• Organize and conduct meetings; communicate information to staff.
• Ensure smooth operations: rotas, staffing levels, recruitment, audits, and supplier orders.
• Take responsibility for day-to-day organization of cleaning operations.
• Handle administrative tasks and any other duties assigned.
• Offer creative menu ideas to compete with local restaurants.
• Stay open until the last customer leaves; manage closing procedures.
• Clean up after business hours.
