Job summary

5G-Starlink Pte. is seeking an Application Developer with Kafka expertise to own enterprise Kafka clusters, architect guidelines, and drive resilient platform infrastructure. You will setup and operate multi-tenant Kafka deployments and guide application teams on best practices.

The role emphasizes strong software engineering, AGILE practices, and proactive collaboration with SRE and stakeholders to improve deployment pipelines and self-service capabilities.

Qualifications

• An undergraduate engineering degree or higher.
• 5+ years of IT/software project experience.
• 3+ years of experience integrating Kafka for multi-tenant environments.
• Strong software engineering skills.
• Expert knowledge of SDLC and AGILE methodologies.
• Pro-active, independent, and able to work in a team.
• Excellent written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Own process, guidelines and technical architecture for the service.
• Set up, install and operate Kafka clusters for enterprise environments.
• Provide guidance to application teams on adopting Kafka for use cases.
• Advise on optimal client-side configuration for resiliency, availability and durability.
• Own platform-level resiliency and availability; support SRE for critical incidents.
• Continuously improve and automate deployment pipelines; establish self-service capabilities.
• Communicate with stakeholders and raise issues clearly.
