Job summary

tangspac professional services is seeking an experienced Kafka/DevOps Engineer for a 12-month renewable contract with a banking client in Singapore. The role focuses on designing, implementing, configuring, and managing Apache Kafka environments and related real-time data streaming workloads.

You will deploy on Kubernetes, ensure high availability, and drive disaster recovery best practices. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of IT experience, strong hands-on Kafka expertise, Kubernetes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar relevant educational background is required.
• Minimum 10 years of overall IT experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and manage Apache Kafka environments.
• Support real-time data streaming and event-driven applications.
• Configure and manage Kafka topics, partitions, replication, consumer groups, producers, and consumers.
• Monitor Kafka cluster performance, availability, capacity, and overall platform health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to Kafka, messaging, connectivity, and performance.
