Job summary

Fuku in Singapore is seeking a senior engineer to design, implement and manage Apache Kafka environments for a banking client. The role focuses on real-time data streaming, event-driven applications, and end-to-end Kafka platform health.

You will configure topics, partitions, replication, and consumer groups, while ensuring high availability and disaster recovery. Collaboration with DevOps and development teams is essential, as is expertise in Kubernetes and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field is required.
• Minimum 10 years IT experience with strong Kafka expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and manage Kafka environments.
• Support real-time data streaming and event-driven apps.
• Configure topics, partitions, replication, consumer groups, producers, and consumers.
• Monitor cluster performance, availability, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot production issues in Kafka, messaging, connectivity, and performance.
• Deploy and manage Kafka apps on Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to onboard applications using Kafka.
• Implement HA, scalability, security, and DR practices.
• Automate deployment, configuration, monitoring, and ops processes.
• Participate in architecture discussions and guide junior engineers.
