Job summary

Tech Aalto Pte ltd is seeking a Java Tech Lead/Architect to design and deliver scalable Java-based solutions. You will lead complex development efforts, translate business requirements into technical designs, and ensure adherence to security and performance standards in a banking environment.

You will mentor teams, work in Agile settings (Scrum/XP), and drive TDD and CI practices while addressing production issues to keep the system stable.

Qualifications

• Strong Java development experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience with Spring Boot, EJB, and relational databases (MySQL/Oracle).
• Familiarity with IBM MQ and messaging patterns.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/XP).
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and continuous integration (CI).
• Ability to translate complex requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions.
• Proven track record of diagnosing and resolving production issues under pressure.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and manage stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of Java-based solutions across the stack.
• Communicate complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
• Develop and deliver solutions with Java, EJB, Spring Boot, and databases.
• Ensure solutions meet bank standards for security, performance, and reliability.
• Tackle complex legacy defects and drive architectural decisions.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams and guide development in Agile environments.
• Drive and review architectural designs, enforce guidelines, and challenge status quo.
• Investigate and resolve production issues to maintain a stable production environment.
