Job summary

eTeam in Singapore seeks a Senior Java Architect to lead the design and implementation of large distributed systems built on microservices. You will drive REST/SOAP services, SOA principles and secure architectures across platforms, collaborating with SMEs to meet complex requirements.

You will define standards, build accelerators, and guide teams to deliver high-quality solutions while evaluating new technologies for cost, portability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of technical experience in architecture development, integration of backend systems and development.
• Strong Hands-on experience in developing applications using Java/J2EE with Spring Boot.
• Deep knowledge of SOA, Architecture and Design on Microservices, REST and SOAP Services.
• Experience in core Java fundamentals, Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot, JUnit, Cucumber.
• Strong hands-on with design patterns and clean code.
• Hands-on in Java Microservices (Spring Boot), RESTful APIs and SOAP Services.
• Experience designing and coding scalable Microservices.
• Experience with middleware/messaging such as MQ, JMS, Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Broad experience in programming and implementing large distributed systems with microservices.
• Deep understanding of application, infrastructure and security architecture and non-functional aspects like performance, scalability, reliability, availability.
• Work with technical SMEs to understand requirements and ensure they are met.
• Define best practices and standards for microservice implementation.
• Lead activities to build accelerators and tools to increase quality of deliverables.
• Evaluate technologies to shape service design considering cost, portability, compatibility or usability.
• Identify and implement changes to technologies and platforms to meet requirements.
• Continuously seek to optimize technology usage across platforms.
• Highlight design risks and recommend quality solutions.
