Job summary

PERSOL Singapore seeks an experienced Java engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable Spring-based applications in a cloud environment. You will collaborate across teams to deliver robust APIs, microservices, and automated tests, ensuring performance and reliability at scale.

Applicants should have deep expertise in Spring, REST, and modern DevOps practices, with a track record of delivering SaaS/PaaS solutions in cloud ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of strong experience building apps, preferably Java Spring stack.
• Experience with cloud-based SaaS/PaaS products.
• Solid understanding of design patterns, algorithms and data structures.
• Ability to articulate a solution and its benefits/shortcomings with alternatives.
• Flexibility to transition between programming languages and tool sets.

Responsibilities

• Create solutions which delight customers, abstracting complexity.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Ensure excellent code quality, and automation.
• Solve high severity production issues on priority.
