Job summary

QUESS SELECTION & SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices.

You will analyze requirements, build scalable solutions, and ensure quality across the SDLC with QA teams and stakeholders. Responsibilities include testing, deployment, production support, and documenting designs and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on enterprise app development experience.
• Strong experience with Java EE, Spring Framework, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with relational DBs (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Familiarity with application servers (WebLogic/JBoss/WebSphere/Tomcat) and CI/CD tools.
• Proficiency with Git, Maven/Gradle; HTML/CSS for web apps.
• Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities; good communicator.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business and technical requirements and develop software solutions based on functional specifications.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable code in accordance with software engineering best practices.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices to support business applications.
• Perform unit testing and support integration testing, system testing, UAT, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot application defects, performance issues, and production incidents, and implement timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Technical Leads, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application quality and performance.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, deployment procedures, and operational guides.
• Ensure applications comply with organizational security policies, coding standards, and development best practices.
