Senior Java & Kotlin Engineer – Equities API Platform

Job summary

Luxoft, a leading technology provider, is hiring for an experienced Java/Kotlin backend engineer to join a team building a robust platform for end-to-end processing of structured products and equity derivatives.

The role focuses on designing and implementing highly available REST APIs, streaming and batch processing using the Spring ecosystem, with Kafka, MongoDB and PostgreSQL. Strong emphasis on clean code, TDD and CI/CD implementations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Java & Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge on Equity derivatives.
• Experience in multi-tiered and distributed applications and service architectures.
• Good experience building RESTFUL web services and understanding of the REST architecture constraints.
• Working experiences in CI/CD.
• Build tools - Gradle/Maven.
• CI tools - Jenkins.
• Source Control - Bit Bucket /GitHub.
• End-to-end execution of development & release phases.
• Provides expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design artifacts.
• Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources.
• Review the design of existing applications and provide recommendations to increase the system's robustness/scalability/performance/maintainability.
• Participate in code review activities and ensure quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• End to end development of highly available REST API, streaming and batch applications using Java and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Integration, MVC, Security, Data, Batch etc).
• Drive the implementation and experimentation of new solution initiatives.
• Focus on clean code and test driven development (TDD).
