Job summary

Luxoft Singapore is seeking a senior software engineer to contribute individually, delivering high-availability REST APIs and batch applications using Java and the Spring ecosystem. You will drive end-to-end development across platforms including Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL.

The role requires 8+ years of Java and Kotlin experience, strong knowledge of equity derivatives, and hands-on CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Gradle/Maven. You will review designs to enhance robustness and scalability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Java and Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of equity derivatives and distributed architectures.
• Experience building RESTful web services and scalable APIs.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Gradle/Maven) and source control.

Responsibilities

Project Description:Our client(One of the largest investment banks in Southeast Asia) is building a platform for end-to-end processing of Structured products with current focus on Equity derivatives. Primary objective is to build a robust platform which caters to the existing pain points without compromising on the required efficiencies .

About the Role

The role involves individual contribution with advanced software coding skills, driving implementation and experimentation of new solution/application initiatives, and end to end development of highly available REST API, streaming and batch applications using Java and Spring ecosystem, Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL etc.

Responsibilities

• Individual contributor and ability to demonstrate advanced software coding skills, a solid grasp of software architecture and object oriented design concepts and design patterns
• Successful candidate will drive the implementation, experimentation of new solution/application initiatives. Looking for one who loves clean code and test driven development (TDD)
• End to end development of highly available REST API, streaming and batch applications using Java and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Integration, MVC, Security, Data, Batch etc), Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL etc.
• Effective end-to-end execution of development & release phases
• Provides expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design artifacts
• Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources
• Review the design of existing applications and provide recommendations to increase the system's robustness/scalability/performance/maintainability
• Participate in code review activities and ensure quality standards are met.

• Overall 8+ years of experience in Java & Kotlin

• Strong knowledge on Equity derivatives
• Experience in multi-tiered and distributed applications and service architectures
• Good experience building RESTFUL web services and understanding of the REST architecture constraints
