Job summary

Capgemini Singapore is seeking an experienced Java backend developer to design and deliver robust microservices using the Spring ecosystem. You will implement APIs, write scalable code and collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA and infrastructure.

You will work with Kafka, RESTful services, and cloud deployments, applying SOLID principles and secure coding practices to ensure performance and reliability in financial-grade systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering.
• 3–7 years hands-on backend Java experience.
• Strong Java (JDK 17+), Spring Boot and Spring Cloud knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java services integrated in end-to-end processing.
• Design and code robust, secure APIs to persist/retrieve data.
• Responsible for all aspects of software development and prod support (L3).
• Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with the team.
• Provide technical leadership and influence architectural decisions.
