Job summary

Ambition is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and modernize enterprise applications in a cloud-native environment. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and modern JDKs.

Responsibilities include building microservices, modernizing legacy apps, and implementing BDD test automation with Cucumber/Gherkin. You will use Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift, and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies while ensuring high

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong Java development experience in enterprise environments with Spring Boot.
• Hands-on with modern JDK versions and OO concepts, DDD, and design patterns.
• Experience building microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native apps.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift; databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin).
• Strong problem-solving, code review, and software-quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and modernize Java enterprise applications.
• Build scalable microservices and event-driven systems.
• Modernize legacy apps and migrate to new architectures.
• Apply OO, DDD, and design patterns in code, reviews, and design sessions.
• Develop BDD test automation using Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum rituals.
• Containerize and deploy with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Support CI/CD and GitOps with GitLab and ArgoCD.
• Troubleshoot issues and promote engineering best practices.
