Job summary

EXASOFT CONSULTING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a senior Java backend developer to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and a microservices architecture.

You will develop secure RESTful and SOAP APIs, enable asynchronous messaging with RabbitMQ and AWS SQS, implement Spring Security and OAuth, optimize Oracle SQL/PLSQL and MongoDB, and containerize with Docker while deploying to Kubernetes and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in Java backend development for enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Proven experience designing and developing RESTful and SOAP APIs for distributed applications.
• Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS, and Spring AMQP for messaging.
• Experience implementing Spring Security and OAuth for application security.
• Experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL and MongoDB, including query optimization and data modelling.
• Practical experience implementing Redis caching and performance optimization in distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and deployment.
• Experience using CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Git workflows.
• Experience with AWS CloudWatch, Elasticsearch, New Relic or Grafana for monitoring.
• Unit testing with JUnit 5 and Mockito.
• Strong OO programming, design patterns, clean-code principles, fault-tolerant design.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications in Java and Spring Boot.
• Design microservices architecture ensuring scalability and fault tolerance.
• Develop secure RESTful and SOAP APIs for enterprise apps.
• Implement asynchronous messaging with RabbitMQ and AWS SQS.
• Apply Spring Security and OAuth for authentication/authorization.
• Model and optimize Oracle SQL/PLSQL and MongoDB databases.
• Implement Redis caching and optimize queries.
• Containerize with Docker and deploy with Kubernetes.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Git workflows.
• Monitor apps with AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, and Elasticsearch.
• Write unit and integration tests with JUnit 5 and Mockito.
• Conduct code reviews and collaborate with architecture, QA, and DevOps teams.
