Job summary

EXASOFT CONSULTING PTE. LTD. seeks a senior Java backend engineer to drive backend development using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. You will design scalable REST/SOAP services, integrate with enterprise systems, and implement event-driven architectures on AWS.

You will work with Docker/Kubernetes for deployment, apply Spring Security with JWT/LDAP for security, and contribute to CI/CD through Jenkins in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Hands-on experience designing REST and SOAP web services.
• Experience with event-driven or messaging systems like MQTT, Kafka, or ActiveMQ.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deployment.
• Experience with AWS services and CI/CD tooling like Jenkins.
• Familiarity with enterprise app servers and J2EE concepts.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance enterprise-grade backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Build and integrate scalable REST and SOAP services for enterprise apps and integrations.
• Implement asynchronous components using MQTT, Kafka, and ActiveMQ.
• Develop cloud-enabled backends on AWS with serverless components.
• Design and maintain containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop data access and persistence using Java ORM across relational/NoSQL DBs.
• Integrate with legacy platforms including J2EE-era apps and enterprise servers.
• Implement security with Spring Security, JWT, and LDAP.
• Automate build, test, and deployment with Jenkins and CI/CD.
• Collaborate on design, integration, code reviews, performance, and Agile delivery.
