Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design, develop and maintain scalable microservices and RESTful APIs. You will collaborate with product managers and frontend teams to deliver fit-for-purpose digital solutions aligned with business and IT strategy.

You will drive architectural discussions, review code, mentor junior developers, and contribute to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4 years of hands-on backend development experience in enterprise or cloud-native apps.
• Proficient in Java Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and message queues (RabbitMQ).
• Strong DB skills across SQL/NoSQL and caching (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience with Angular in enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend systems and microservices.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend teams to deliver fit-for-purpose digital solutions.
• Ensure backend systems are secure, reliable, and optimized for performance.
• Drive architectural discussions and review code for best practices.

• Contribute to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines for fast, safe software delivery.
• Document key design decisions and technical specifications.
• Support production systems, troubleshoot, and ensure uptime and resilience.
