Job summary

Capgemini Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned backend developer to build Java services within end-to-end processing pipelines. You will design robust APIs, implement microservices using Spring ecosystem, and contribute to secure, scalable solutions.

You will collaborate with product, QA, and operations teams, applying SOLID principles and best practices to deliver reliable software while ensuring performance and security requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of hands-on backend development with Java.
• Strong proficiency in Java (JDK 17+), Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Experience with Kafka and other messaging platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java services integrated in end-to-end processing.
• Design and code robust, secure APIs to persist/retrieve data and implement business logic.
• Provide technical leadership and participate in code reviews.
• Work with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and operations.
• Ensure security, regulatory compliance, and performance optimization.
