Alphline Technologies Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Senior IT System Engineer to own end‑to‑end on‑premises infrastructure design, deployment, and operations across client environments.

You will lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, secure infrastructure solutions. This hands‑on role emphasizes technical ownership and proactive problem solving in a fast‑growing IT solutions company.

Formación

• Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with on-premises IT infrastructure operations (3+ years).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues independently.
• Experience owning client relationships and leading end-to-end project delivery.

Responsabilidades

• Lead infrastructure projects from scoping and design through implementation, testing and go-live.
• Design, deploy, and manage on-prem Windows and Linux server environments for reliability and performance.
• Administer virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV) and SAN/NAS storage.
• Manage network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, switches, firewalls, VPNs).
• Oversee daily operations, incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

We are seeking a technically proficient and proactive Senior IT System Engineer to play a key role in designing, deploying, and managing robust infrastructure solutions across our client environments. As a Senior IT System Engineer, you will take end-to-end ownership of on-premises infrastructure, from solution design and implementation through to ongoing operations and optimization. You will also serve as a senior technical partner to our clients, leading infrastructure projects, resolving complex technical challenges, and providing guidance to the wider engineering team. This is a hands‑on role suited to an experienced engineer who enjoys technical ownership, client engagement, problem-solving, and mentoring others.

Responsibilities:

• Client & Project Ownership — Act as the senior technical point of contact for assigned client accounts. Lead infrastructure projects from scoping and solution design through implementation, testing, documentation, and go‑live.
• Infrastructure Design & Administration — Design, deploy, manage, and maintain on‑premises Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and availability.
• Virtualization & Storage — Administer enterprise virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper‑V, and Nutanix, together with SAN/NAS storage solutions. Perform capacity planning and optimization to support business requirements.
• Network Administration — Support and administer network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs, working closely with relevant teams and vendors where required.
• Operations & Incident Management — Oversee day‑to‑day infrastructure operations, monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, driving issues through to permanent resolution.
• Security & Hardening — Implement system hardening, patch management, access controls, and other security best practices to maintain a secure and resilient infrastructure environment.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery — Implement, monitor, maintain, and periodically test backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data protection and business continuity.
• Compliance & Validation — Manage infrastructure in accordance with applicable ISO standards, CIS benchmarks, and GxP requirements, ensuring appropriate controls and documentation are maintained.
• Technical Documentation — Prepare and maintain SOPs, change records, validation documents, and infrastructure diagrams.
• Technical Leadership & Mentoring — Guide and mentor junior IT System Engineers, reviewing their work, supporting their technical development, and acting as an escalation point for complex issues.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement — Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability, security, efficiency, and automation. Contribute to hybrid/cloud initiatives and infrastructure improvement projects in collaboration with other teams.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in on‑premises IT infrastructure operations

1. Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
2. Linux server administration (at least one major distribution)
3. Designing and architecting virtualization environments (VMware, Microsoft Hyper‑V, or Nutanix AHV)
4. Enterprise storage (SAN/NAS)
5. Core networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewall, VPN)

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues independently
• Proven track record owning client relationships and leading project delivery end‑to‑end
• Comfortable guiding or mentoring junior engineers
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to communicate with Chinese‑speaking stakeholders and clients
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams

Working Hours & Location:

• 5-day workweek (Mondays - Thursdays 9:30 am – 6:30 pm; Fridays 8:30 am – 5:30 pm)
• Location: Ang Mo Kio
