Alphline Technologies PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Senior IT System Engineer to design, deploy, and manage robust on‑prem infrastructure across client environments. You will own projects end‑to‑end, from design to go‑live, and mentor engineers.

In this hands‑on role, you’ll lead security hardening, backup/DR, and compliance efforts while collaborating with internal teams and clients to deliver reliable technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in IT/CS or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own client accounts; lead infrastructure projects from design to go-live.

• Oversee daily operations; incident response and RCAs.

• Ensure ISO, CIS, and GxP compliance; document controls.
• Prepare SOPs and infrastructure diagrams for governance.
• Mentor junior engineers; provide technical guidance.

As a Senior IT System Engineer, you will take end-to-end ownership of on-premises infrastructure, from solution design and implementation through to ongoing operations and optimization. Responsibilities

• Client & Project Ownership - Act as the senior technical point of contact for assigned client accounts. Lead infrastructure projects from scoping and solution design through implementation, testing, documentation, and go-live.
• Infrastructure Design & Administration - Design, deploy, manage, and maintain on-premises Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and availability.
• Virtualization & Storage - Administer enterprise virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper‑V, and Nutanix, together with SAN/NAS storage solutions. Perform capacity planning and optimization to support business requirements.
• Network Administration - Support and administer network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs, working closely with relevant teams and vendors where required.
• Operations & Incident Management - Oversee day‑to‑day infrastructure operations, monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, driving issues through to permanent resolution.
• Security & Hardening - Implement system hardening, patch management, access controls, and other security best practices to maintain a secure and resilient infrastructure environment.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery - Implement, monitor, maintain, and periodically test backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data protection and business continuity.
• Compliance & Validation - Manage infrastructure in accordance with applicable ISO standards, CIS benchmarks, and GxP requirements, ensuring appropriate controls and documentation are maintained.
• Technical Documentation - Prepare and maintain SOPs, change records, validation documents, and infrastructure diagrams.
• Technical Leadership & Mentoring - Guide and mentor junior IT System Engineers, reviewing their work, supporting their technical development, and acting as an escalation point for complex issues.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability, security, efficiency, and automation. Contribute to hybrid/cloud initiatives and infrastructure improvement projects in collaboration with other teams.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in on‑premises IT infrastructure operations
• Strong experience with:
  Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
• Linux server administration (at least one major distribution)
• Designing and architecting virtualization environments (VMware, Microsoft Hyper‑V, or Nutanix AHV)
• Enterprise storage (SAN/NAS)
• Core networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewall, VPN)
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues independently
• Proven track record owning client relationships and leading project delivery end‑to‑end
• Comfortable guiding or mentoring junior engineers
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to communicate with Chinese‑speaking stakeholders and clients
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams
