Job summary

HG Works Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based main contractor, seeks a Senior Interior Designer to lead interior design of landed residential projects from concept to completion.

Candidate will develop proposals, prepare visuals, and create detailed drawings. Strong portfolio and 2+ years' landed residential experience required; proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in interior design, architecture or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' interior design experience.
• Proven landed residential project experience.
• Strong portfolio and technical proficiency.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp; rendering knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead interior design for landed residential projects, from concept development to project completion.
• Understand client requirements and develop design proposals meeting functional, aesthetic and budget needs.
• Prepare design visuals, including layouts, mood boards and 3D visualisations.
• Develop detailed design drawings: floor plans, elevations, sections, ceilings and joinery details.
• Specify materials, finishes, fittings and furnishings within budget.
• Coordinate with consultants, project teams, contractors and suppliers.
• Review shop drawings and material submissions for design compliance.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
• Ensure designs comply with regulations and authority requirements.
• Mentor and supervise junior designers and drafting staff.

About the Company

HG Works Pte Ltd, a member of HG Group, is a Singapore-based main contractor with a strong track record in landed residential developments. We are seeking a capable and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our team and lead the interior design of our landed residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the interior design process for landed residential projects, from concept development to project completion
• Understand client requirements and develop design proposals that meet functional, aesthetic and budgetary needs
• Prepare design presentations, including layouts, mood boards, material boards and 3D visualisations
• Develop detailed design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, ceiling and lighting plans, and joinery details
• Specify materials, finishes, fittings and furnishings in line with design intent and project budget
• Coordinate with consultants, project teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure design is properly implemented
• Review shop drawings and material submissions for compliance with design requirements
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality and adherence to design intent
• Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations and authority requirements
• Mentor and supervise junior designers and drafting staff

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related discipline
• 2 years of relevant interior design experience
• Proven experience in landed residential projects is required
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design and technical capability
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp; knowledge of rendering software is an advantage
• Sound knowledge of materials, construction methods and detailing
• Good communication, presentation and client management skills
• Well organised, able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Able to work independently as well as within a team
