Job summary

Inspired Homes Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Architectural Design & Project Lead who combines strong design sense with hands-on project management, from design development through construction and handover. • Able to independently produce detailed architectural and construction drawings.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, detailing and site coordination.

Architectural Design & Project Lead (Landed Homes)

Salary: S$4,000 – S$5,500 per month (commensurate with experience and capabilities)

About the Role

Inspired Homes is a Design & Build company specialising in landed residential properties in Singapore.

We are looking for an Architectural Design & Project Lead who has a good eye for design, strong technical detailing skills, and the ability to manage projects from design development through construction and handover.

This is not a purely design or site management role. We are looking for someone who can think creatively, plan spaces logically, produce detailed and buildable drawings, and take ownership of projects on site.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Design & Space Planning

• Develop practical, well-planned layouts for landed residential properties.
• Design attractive architectural façades with good proportions, window arrangements, materials and detailing.
• Consider functionality, circulation, natural lighting, ventilation and furniture placement during space planning.
• Prepare 3D visualisations and design presentations for client discussions.
• Balance design aesthetics with construction practicality and project budgets.

Technical Drawings & Design Coordination

• Prepare accurate and detailed floor plans, elevations, sections and construction drawings.
• Develop window and door schedules, dimensions, ceiling levels, staircase details and architectural finishes.
• Ensure drawings are sufficiently detailed for site execution.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, M&E and interior design requirements.
• Identify potential design conflicts and construction issues before works commence.
• Work closely with in-house designers, consultants and site teams.

Project Management & Site Execution

• Take ownership of assigned projects from design development through construction and handover.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules, ensuring works progress according to plan.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets company standards.
• Identify potential site problems early and propose practical solutions.
• Ensure construction works follow approved drawings, specifications and design intent.
• Monitor project progress, quality, defects and timely rectification.

Client Management

• Communicate directly with homeowners on design development, project progress and technical matters.
• Present design proposals and explain practical design recommendations.
• Manage client expectations and coordinate design decisions.
• Support initial client consultations and project proposals when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in residential Design & Build, architectural design or project management.
• Good architectural design sense, particularly in façade design and space planning.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant 3D design software such as SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion or equivalent.
• Able to independently produce detailed architectural and construction drawings.
• Good understanding of construction methods, materials, detailing and site coordination.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Able to manage assigned projects independently.
• Comfortable communicating with homeowners, consultants and contractors.

Preferred

• Experience in Singapore landed residential projects, including renovation, A&A, reconstruction or new erection.
• Familiarity with URA, BCA and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Experience coordinating architectural design with structural and M&E works.
• Ability to present design concepts confidently to clients.
