Job summary

Illumina Singapore seeks a Senior Industrial Engineer to drive capacity planning, process simulations, and IE support in a high-volume production setting. You will collaborate with Operational Excellence, Engineering, Supply Chain and Logistics to optimize workflow, quality, availability and cost.

The role demands strong data analysis, AutoCAD 2D and simulation tool expertise, plus familiarity with cGMP and GMP/ISO standards. You will lead improvement projects and mentor teams on best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Systems Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a high volume, high tech, disposable or consumable production environment.
• Experience in project management and/or layout planning.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and statistics knowledge.
• Excellent data analysis skills and problem-solving ability.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and simulation tools with coding ability (Python, C++, etc).
• Lean Six Sigma or equivalent credentials in operational excellence preferred.
• GMP, ISO 13485, ISO 9001 training preferred.
• Ability to work safely in PPE; manage multiple tasks and adapt to changes.
• Meticulous, organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Complete required training (e.g. cGMP, safety and work instructions) within a set time frame.
• Execute tasks following cGMP, Quality, Safety and Work instruction requirements.
• Ensure safety, quality and company policy compliance at all times.
• Timely report/elevate concerns (work related or personal).
• Meet daily work schedules and performance expectations set by Superiors.
• Develop, enhance and maintain capacity planning models to meet targets.
• Create, maintain and use process simulation models to optimize production.
• Lead small improvement projects and report on long-term capacity needs.
• Apply industrial engineering and lean practices to improve facility effectiveness.
• Assist with process mapping, time studies and shop-floor optimization.
