ams OSRAM seeks an experienced lead automation engineer to head a team of automation engineers, setting priorities and providing hands-on guidance across mechanical, electrical, and software systems.

You will design, implement and optimize robotic and cobot solutions, AMR/AGV handling, and vision-guided applications, while ensuring performance through OEE targets and robust vendor collaboration.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics/Electrical/Mechanical.
• Min. 5 years of industrial automation and robotics.
• Project management, PC/PLC programming, CAD/Solidworks, Electrical system, Smart Factory system.
• Applies deep technical knowledge through a structured, systematic and disciplined approach to solve complex engineering problems.
• C#, Python, C++, ROS 2, Manufacturing Execution System (MES) API Integration.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the day-to-day technical work of the automation engineers and assistant engineers: set priorities, assign tasks, review designs and provide hands-on guidance.
• Design and develop automation solutions including robotic and cobot systems, AMR/AGV-based material handling, mechatronic and vision-guided applications; define system capacity and performance requirements.
• Develop automation system specifications covering mechanical, electrical, controls, HMI, and software; review vendor designs for compliance.
• Lead end-to-end automation project execution from concept through handover, managing schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and stakeholder communications.
• Manage vendor selection and execution by evaluating proposals, overseeing design, testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Lead automation system reliability and lifecycle management by troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and upgrades.
