GRC Construction Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Engineer to design and optimise control system architectures for water/wastewater or process plants. You will develop PLC/DCS/SCADA solutions and coordinate with proposals and project teams.
The role involves preparing technical documents, datasheets, I/O lists, and loop diagrams, plus reviewing vendor bids for conformance to specs and code requirements, including ATEX where applicable.
Basic and detailed design of control system architecture, PLC, DCS, and RIO systems, PLC and SCADA programming software, etc.
Design sizing, calculation, and selection for instruments, analyzers, control system hardware, instrument and control cable, etc., to support the proposals team and projects team.
Preparation of project documents, including technical proposal, design basis, instrument list, IO list, instrument and control cable schedule, cable routing, control room layout, hook-up drawings, instrument location layout, control panel layout, loop disgrams, Functional Design Specification, IOM manual, etc.
Preparing specifications and datasheets for RFQ and reviewing offers from vendors for compliance with technical specifications, compliance with codes and regulations, including ATEX.
Prepare documentation (Instrument list, IO list, datasheet, cable schedule, cable routing, loop diagram, hookup drawing, functional design specification, and panel layout, etc.) for submission and site activities such as plant start-up, cable schedule, performance testing, optimization, and handover.
Degree in Electronics, Automation, or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of work experience in process plants or in the water/wastewater industry, with good knowledge in automation design of water and/or wastewater treatment plants.
Familiarity with project design software such AutoCAD and Navisworks is advantageous.
