Job summary

TESTING INSPECTION & SOLUTION PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to lead conceptual studies, FEED and detailed engineering for chemical, energy, marine and offshore projects.

The role requires design of DCS/PLC based systems, field instrumentation, and knowledge of ISA standards, with hands-on AutoCAD/Navisworks and vendor coordination. 8+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
• Experience in conceptual studies, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction.
• Knowledge of ISA standards and international instrumentation standards.
• Proficiency with MS Word & Excel.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of DCS/PLC based system and field instrumentation design.
• Familiar with PC based design system for sizing of instruments.
• Communicate with vendors and clients for detail engineering and construction.
• Preparation of requisition and procurement of instruments and control systems.
• 3D design and drafting using Navisworks; SPI knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of ESD, FGS, telecom, CCTV, access control, and PAGA system design.
• Document control and as-built document preparation.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Preparation of DCS/PLC based system and Field Instrumentation. Familiar with PC based design system for sizing of Instruments.
• Knowledge with ESD, FGS, Telecom, CCTV, Access Control & PAGA System including relevant engineering design.
• Preparation of requisition and procurement of Instruments and Control Systems.
• Knowledge of Instrumentation Design and Hands-on ACAD drafting activities including 3D Design, Naviswork.
• Hands-on experience with Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) will be an advantage.
• To communicate with Vendors and Clients for Detail Engineering and Construction Work.
• To perform Document Control System, As-Built Documents Preparation.

Qualification & Experience Generally Required

• Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years experiences in Conceptual Studies, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction Projects in Chemical & Energy, Marine & Offshore, FPSO/FPU industry.
• Knowledge with ISA Standards and other international standards for Instrumentation and Control.
• Good knowledge of Electronic Instruments, PLC and DCS system.
• Good knowledge of Instrument Signal Transmission and Signal Protocol.
• Proficiency in computer knowledge of MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD, etc.
