Job summary

OCBC Bank is seeking an experienced IBM AIX Level 3 Support Engineer to join our IT team in Singapore. You will troubleshoot complex AIX hardware and software issues, perform advanced system administration, and manage patching using BigFix while ensuring high availability of critical systems.

You will work with cross-functional teams to optimize virtualization components (PowerVM VIOS, SEA, HACMP) and document configurations, standards, and incidents while participating in on-call rotation.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience managing IBM AIX environments.
Strong knowledge of AIX OS and virtualization technologies.
Experience with BigFix patch management for AIX.
IBM certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide Level 3 support for IBM AIX and related technologies.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues on AIX.
Perform system administration tasks including installation, configuration, and maintenance of AIX servers.
Manage virtualization components (SR-IOV, SEA, VIOS, HACMP).
Monitor performance and optimize for reliability.
Handle on-call rotation and incident response.
Document AIX configurations and procedures.
Coordinate with cross-functional IT teams.
