Job summary

OCBC Group in Singapore seeks an IBM AIX Level 3 Support Engineer (AVP) to join our IT team. You will resolve complex hardware and software issues on IBM AIX, perform advanced system administration, and manage patching using BigFix.

The role requires strong expertise in AIX virtualization technologies (SR-IOV, SEA, PowerVM VIOS, HACMP), and the ability to collaborate across IT teams while maintaining thorough documentation. On-call rotation applies.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience managing complex IBM AIX environments.
Strong knowledge of IBM AIX operating system and virtualization technologies (SR-IOV, SEA, PowerVM VIOS, HACMP).
Experience with BigFix patch management for AIX systems.

Responsibilities

Provide Level 3 support for IBM AIX operating systems and related technologies.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues on IBM AIX systems.
Perform system administration tasks including installation, configuration, and maintenance of AIX servers.
Manage virtualization technologies such as SR-IOV, SEA, PowerVM VIOS, HACMP, and others.
Monitor system performance and implement adjustments to optimize efficiency and reliability.
Develop, update, and maintain documentation related to AIX systems and configurations.
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents.
