Job summary

PERCEPT SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, operate and modernize enterprise compute, virtualization and storage platforms in Singapore. You will provide L3 production support and lead upgrades, migrations and resilience exercises.

The role requires hands-on Linux and VMware expertise, knowledge of Oracle/AIX Power environments, and strong experience with DR/BCP testing and complex incident resolution across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of hands-on enterprise infrastructure engineering or administration.
• Strong expertise in Linux and VMware, with substantial experience in AIX/IBM Power or Huawei FusionCompute.
• Experience supporting business-critical production systems, high availability configurations and disaster recovery environments.
• Practical knowledge of SAN storage, backup and recovery, NFS, DNS, autofs, filesystem administration and infrastructure monitoring.
• Proven ability to plan upgrades and migrations, troubleshoot complex incidents, document changes and coordinate across technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer RHEL and Oracle Linux servers, including OS upgrades, kernel patching, storage configuration, performance tuning and incident resolution.
• Manage Oracle private cloud and high availability technologies, including Oracle VM/OLVM, Oracle RAC/ASM, Red Hat Cluster, VxVM/VXFS, VCS, VVR and CFS.
• Design and support VMware ESXi, vSphere, vCenter and vSAN environments, including HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, VM lifecycle management and disaster recovery.
• Configure and support Huawei FusionCompute, FusionManager and FusionAccess, including clusters, resource pools, distributed virtual switches, live migration and capacity planning.
• Administer AIX and IBM Power infrastructure, including VIOS, LPAR, HACMP, GPFS, NIM, LPM, LVM, MPIO, NPIV and SEA/NIB.
• Manage SAN and Huawei OceanDisk storage, including zoning, LUN provisioning, snapshots, RAID, SmartTier, capacity and performance.
• Automate patching, configuration and infrastructure tasks using tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet.
• Lead or support data centre migrations, platform migrations, lift and shift projects, operational acceptance testing, and DR/BCP exercises.
• Resolve complex L2/L3 issues across operating systems, hardware, networks, filesystems and storage while working with application, database and network teams.
