Job summary

GMP Technologies is seeking an EHS Head to lead our pharma manufacturing site's Environment, Health and Safety program in Singapore. You will drive compliance with ISO 14001/45001, manage audits, and lead a team to uphold top safety and environmental standards.

The role requires a Master's degree with 10+ years in pharma or chemical safety, and certifications such as Certified Safety Professional or MOM WHSO are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or related qualification with 10+ years of relevant experience in large pharma, chemical engineering, safety or environmental fields.
• Preferably a Certified Safety Professional, MOM Registered Workplace Safety Health Officer and Occupational Hygienist.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate vision and strategy to teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to analyze complex situations and implement practical solutions.
• Proven leadership capability with the ability to coach, develop, and lead a high-performing EHS team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive site EHS programs in line with company goals and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement EHS plans, initiatives, and resource allocation for safe operations.
• Oversee risk assessments and hazard identification across processes, equipment, chemicals, and operations.
• Ensure effective risk controls, corrective actions, and accident prevention programs.
• Manage audits (customer, regulatory, certifications) and serve as main EHS contact.
• Lead incident investigations with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 based EHS management systems.
• Ensure local EHS regulatory compliance and industry standards.
• Promote a strong safety culture through training, drills, and engagement activities.
• Liaise with government authorities and support EHS reporting and submissions.
• Provide EHS guidance to site operations and project teams; build and develop the EHS team.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance safety, environment and operational excellence.

• Promote a strong safety culture through training, awareness programs, emergency drills, and employee engagement activities.
• Liaise with government authorities and support EHS reporting and regulatory submissions.

• Build, lead, and develop the EHS team through coaching, performance management, and capability development.

Requirements

• Master's degree or related qualifications with more than 10 years of relevant work
  experience in large pharmaceutical, Chemical engineering, safety or
  environmental-related fields.
• Preferably a Certified Safety Professional, MOM Registered Workplace Safety Health
  Officer and Occupational Hygienist preferred
• Possess excellent communication skills to articulate and share vision, goals, plans,
  strategies, and values to influence the team in achieving desired objectives.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex situation, identify
  roof causes & implement practical solutions.
• Strong leadership and able to lead by example and have a strong sense of
  responsibility and can withstand strong work pressure with given timeline.
• Native fluency in both English and Chinese to lead meetings and author technical
  documentations, and collaborate with stakeholders in Singapore and China.
