Job summary

Kimpton Singapore is seeking a Supervisory Housekeeping professional to support the Executive Housekeeper in budgeting and managing department operations, supervising standards across bedrooms, bathrooms, cleaning, linen and public areas to ensure guest satisfaction.

You will schedule daily, weekly and monthly cleaning programs, perform room allocations and inspections, liaise with Front Office and Engineering, and ensure timely laundry processing and stock control.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or equivalent plus 3 years’ housekeeping experience, preferably with supervisory exposure.
• Able to speak, read and write English. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Works with Executive Housekeeper in budgeting and managing the department’s operations.
• Supervise housekeeping standards across bedrooms, bathrooms, cleaning, linen and public areas.
• Schedule daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly deep cleaning programs.
• Conduct room allocations and inspections; inspect all public areas’ cleanliness.
• Liaise with Front Office for guest and hotel requirements; coordinate with Engineering on defects.
• Ensure guest laundry is processed and delivered timely; manage stock levels and storage.
• Coordinate special projects and maintain knowledge of room types and facilities.
• Conduct shift briefings and address staff issues; ensure ongoing training needs.

Job description

Works with Executive Housekeeper in the preparation and management of the Department’s operating budget

Supervise the implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures in relation to, Bedroom service , Bathroom service, Cleaning service, Linen maintenance and Public Area Cleanliness

Recommended changes to these standards and training needs on an ongoing basis

Schedule daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly deep cleaning program

Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of all housekeeping systems

Perform Room allocations

Perform Room inspections

Perform routine inspections of all public areas’ cleanliness

Liaise with Front Office for guest and hotel requirements

Liaise and follow-up with Engineering on guest room and public area defects

Ensure guest laundry is processed and delivered in a timely manner

Co-ordinate special projects (example site rooms, vermin control, window and carpet cleaning, room inventories)

Anticipate guests’ needs and deliver True Responsiveness

Management of lost property for the hotel

Ensure you have complete knowledge of room types, layouts and facilities

Manage storage areas

Maintain adequate stock levels

Complete stock takes as required

Maintain stock levels

Manage & Maintain cleaning equipments

Participate in daily public areas walk to identify areas of improvement

Conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known

Recommended changes to these standards and training needs on an ongoing basis

Solve employee grievances

Qualification & Requirements:

Minimum Diploma or equivalent plus3 years’housekeeping experience preferably in a hotel of similar size and complexity and including supervisory experience or training.

Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.Able to speak, read and write English. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
