Job summary

voco Orchard Singapore, part of InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), seeks a dynamic Security Manager to lead the Security department and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across hotel operations.

You will drive training, coordinate with local authorities, oversee security systems, and manage incident investigations. A strong background in hotel security, licensing, and emergency response is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of security management experience in hotels or similar sectors.
• At least 2 years in a similar role with an international hotel chain.
• Valid PLRD license and CERT SMC certification.
• Fire Safety Manager, First Aid, CPR and AED would be a strong advantage.
• Able to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Fluent English speaking ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Security department to ensure safety and compliance with local regulations.
• Coordinate training and development of Security Supervisors and Officers.
• Oversee security equipment maintenance and readiness for the next day.
• Respond to guest incidents and investigations with care and urgency.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigations.
• Coordinate with police and emergency services as needed.
• Maintain detailed security incident records and reports.
• Lead security and fire safety meetings with authorities.
