Job summary

Apex Group Ltd (UK Branch) in Singapore is seeking a Senior Fund Accounting Manager for hedge funds to lead NAV preparation, fund payments, and fee calculations. You will liaise with clients, brokers, and custodians, ensure AML/KYC compliance, and drive new fund onboarding and audits.

The role requires 5+ years in fund accounting or related public accounting with alternative investments, a relevant degree, and professional membership (ACCA/CPA).

Qualifications

• At least 5 years Senior Fund Accounting experience or Public Accounting with alternative investment funds.
• University degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Member of CA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent.
• Min 6 years of relevant work experience in fund administration industry.
• Good communications, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Proficient in general accounting, reconciliation practices and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Managing client deliverables in accordance with service agreements and SLAs including NAV preparation and ad-hoc requests as principal contact for fund administration clients.
• Reviewing and processing fund payments for fund manager and third parties.
• Review and calculation of management fees, performance fees, interest and accruals.
• Liaising with clients, brokers and custodians to address client queries and concerns.
• Management of the NAV preparation and review process for our fund administration clients.
• Adoption, integration and setup of new funds in accordance with prescribed procedures.
• Adhering to internal policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with auditing standards (SSAE 18 Type II and related requirements).
• Managing client audit deliverables including preparation of financial statements and audit responses.
• Performing due diligence checks on new investors in line with AML/KYC policies.
• Ensuring compliance with local, jurisdictional and bank-wide AML/KYC standards.
• Assisting in the development of new and existing global client relationships, optimizing service offerings, productivity and profitability.
• Train staff on processing complex financial instruments and fund matters.
• Supervise and review tasks by staff, including NAV valuations, reconciliations, and liaising with auditors.
• Assist in pre-launch phase of new funds including PPM review and fund structure setup in the system.
