Job summary

CYCLE & CARRIAGE AUTOMOTIVE PTE LIMITED is seeking an experienced engineer to provide technical support for heavy trucks and electric commercial vehicles in Singapore. The role focuses on homologation, design adaptation, and engineering problem solving across local authorities and factories.

The candidate will coordinate regulatory submissions, liaise with overseas factories in China, and contribute to product development, validation and testing for new vehicle models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or diploma in automotive/mechanical/electrical engineering is required.
• Strong understanding of homologation standards for vehicles.
• Experience in design, evaluation and engineering support.
• Ability to communicate in Chinese for liaison with overseas factories and authorities in China.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for heavy trucks and electric heavy truck products.
• Coordinate and support vehicle homologation activities per UNECE requirements.
• Liaise with factories, suppliers, and authorities on submissions, approvals and certification.
• Support vehicle design adaptation and engineering modifications for local needs.
• Conduct technical evaluation, troubleshooting, and analysis of vehicle systems and components.
• Support product development, validation and testing for new vehicle models.
• Collaborate with sales and aftersales to provide technical product support and training.
• Review and prepare technical documentation, specifications, and engineering reports.
• Assist in resolving technical and quality issues for customers and fleets.
