Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) in Singapore seeks a Senior Hardware Engineering Manager to lead multiple hardware teams and steer strategy for next‑gen networking platforms. You will own delivery from architecture to mass production while guiding engineers and managers across regions.

We expect 10+ years in engineering with 5+ years in people management, strong hardware design and validation expertise, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years of people management.
• Proven ability to apply expert-level technical knowledge to guide teams solving hardware challenges.
• Strong background in hardware design, validation, and product development lifecycles.
• Advanced leadership skills in coaching, team building, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• Experience spanning geographies, driving capability growth and execution.
• Strong business acumen balancing technical excellence, cost, schedule and risk.
• Exceptional communication skills to engage engineers, peers, and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, technical, and people leadership for multiple hardware engineering teams.
• Manage headcount, budgets, schedules, and deliverables across concurrent programs.
• Drive execution from architecture alignment through mass production with focus on quality and cost targets.
• Collaborate with program management, marketing, supply chain, architecture, and executives to communicate status.
• Advise senior leadership on technology direction and long-term investment strategy.
• Lead cross-organizational execution across engineering, operations, and external partners.
• Manage relationships with outsourced development partners and suppliers with clear expectations.
• Identify process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Provide people-care leadership including hiring, development, performance management, succession planning.
• Foster engineering rigor, accountability, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
