Job summary

ONYX SG PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Senior Group Accountant to lead the group consolidation, financial reporting, and the Singapore books.

You will supervise a small finance team and coordinate with the CFO for accurate closing and timely reporting across entities. This role covers full set reviews, intercompany matters, audit support, ERP-related finance processes, and exposure to corporate tax, transfer pricing, or treasury.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent advantageous.
• 8–12 years of experience in group finance, consolidation, financial reporting, audit, accounting operations, or controllership.
• Experience with group consolidation and financial reporting across multiple entities.
• Experience reviewing full set of accounts, closing schedules, reconciliations, intercompany items, GST, and statutory reporting.
• Able to own books for a Singapore holding entity with junior support.
• Supervisory experience leading a small finance team.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
• ERP exposure preferred;Corporate tax/transfer pricing/treasury exposure advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to review detailed workings and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead group consolidation, financial reporting, and books for the Singapore holding entity.
• Review full set of accounts, consolidation schedules, intercompany items, GST, and statutory reporting.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external advisors for audits, compliance, and ERP-related finance processes.
• Support corporate tax, transfer pricing, or treasury activities as needed.
• Work with leadership to improve reporting quality, controls, and timeliness across entities.

Our client is an established multi-entity industrial group with a regional operating footprint and an ongoing focus on strengthening its finance platform. As the business continues to improve its reporting discipline, governance, and finance processes, they are looking to appoint a hands-on Senior Group Accountant to support the next stage of finance maturity. This is a suitable opportunity for candidates who enjoy both technical group finance work and direct exposure to senior leadership.

Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will lead a small finance team and take responsibility for group consolidation, financial reporting, and the books of the Singapore holding entity. The role will require close review of full set accounts, consolidation schedules, entity submissions, intercompany matters, reporting packs, and supporting analysis. The incumbent will also work with internal stakeholders and external advisors on audit, compliance, ERP-related finance processes, and selected areas such as corporate tax, transfer pricing, or treasury.

This role offers a practical platform for a finance professional who wants to remain close to the numbers while contributing to better structure, controls, and reporting quality within a growing group environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent will be advantageous.
• Around 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in group finance, consolidation, financial reporting, audit, accounting operations, or controllership.
• Prior working exposure to group consolidation and financial reporting across multiple entities.
• Experience reviewing full set accounts, including closing schedules, reconciliations, accruals, intercompany items, GST, and statutory reporting matters.
• Able to take ownership of the books for a Singapore holding entity, with support from a junior team member.
• Prior supervisory experience, preferably leading or reviewing the work of a small finance team.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Exposure to ERP-based finance environments will be preferred.
• Exposure to at least one of the following areas will be advantageous: corporate tax, transfer pricing, or treasury.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to review detailed financial workings, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on finance role with both group-level and entity-level responsibilities.
• Structured, detail-oriented, and able to manage reporting timelines across multiple stakeholders.
• Clear communicator with the ability to work with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
