Job summary

Hyve Solutions seeks a Trade Compliance & Customs Specialist to ensure regulatory compliance for global import and export operations. You will manage classifications, permits, and documentation, coordinating with customs brokers and freight forwarders to keep shipments moving.

You will interpret regulatory requirements, support EAR compliance, and drive continuous process improvements while partnering with internal teams to resolve issues and maintain accurate regulatory records.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics providers.

Responsibilities

• Manage import and export operations for cross-border shipments.
• Interpret trade, customs, and regulatory requirements and advise stakeholders.
• Review shipments for regulatory, licensing, permit, and documentation needs.
• Support EAR compliance and licensing requirements where applicable.
• Prepare and coordinate customs permit applications with brokers and resolve issues.
• Classify products using HS codes and ECCNs and maintain regulatory records.
• Prepare shipping documents including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
• Coordinate inbound, outbound, and RMA shipments with forwarders and couriers.
• Support trade compliance programs and initiatives and drive process improvements.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve customs and trade issues.
• Act as a point of contact for government inquiries.
