Job summary

t.y.lin international pte. ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Civil/Structural Design Engineer with 5+ years of design experience to lead the preparation of design reports, calculations and drawings for major projects.

You will coordinate with other disciplines, prepare submissions to statutory authorities, contribute to tender documentation, and mentor juniors. You will also lead design management and project control on major projects, while applying geotechnical expertise for earth retaining and

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).
• Minimum of 5 years of design experience.
• Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Good knowledge of common structural design software.
• Experience in engineering design consulting on building, geotechnical, infrastructure, rail or road projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the preparation of detailed design reports, calculations and drawings.
• Prepare submissions to statutory agencies/ authorities.
• Lead coordination with other disciplines in design deliverables.
• Lead in preparing tender documentation.
• Participate in the tendering of projects.
• Participate in the successful delivery of projects.
• Training and mentoring juniors.
• Design management, coordination and project control on major projects.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• Experienced in design and design management of major earth retaining and stabilizing structures, deep foundations, reclamations, ground improvements, slope stabilities.
• Familiar with Geotechnical Interpretative Reports and geotechnical impact assessment.
• Familiar with geotechnical FEM software.
