Job summary

Traveloka is building a brand-new AI and algorithm team within its core business units. We seek a Senior Algorithm Engineer to lead design and implementation of next-generation generative AI capabilities for customer service chatbots, translation agents, and travel assistants.

You will drive end-to-end AI product development, from concept to large-scale production, impacting service experience, problem-solving efficiency, conversion rates, and operating costs for millions of users.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in algorithm engineering, ML, NLP or related fields with production deployments.
• Experience with generative AI / LLM applications and AI customer service, QA, or dialogue systems.
• Proficiency in Python and mainstream ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn).
• Familiar with large-scale model applications: prompt design, RAG, vector retrieval, fine-tuning, inference optimization, multi-turn dialogue.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize intelligent chatbot and AI agent systems for travel-related scenarios.
• Build architectures for task planning, tool invocation, memory management, retrieval, and multi-turn dialogues.
• Design NLU/NLG for travel/customer service, including multilingual support.
• Drive deployment of large-scale models with Prompt Engineering, RAG, SFT, and policy optimization.
• Establish evaluation systems: offline, automated, and online A/B testing.
• Collaborate with product, data, and ops teams to ensure high availability, low latency, scaling, and cost-effective production-grade performance.
• Monitor KPIs like resolution rate, first response time, and user satisfaction, and optimize continuously.
