Job summary

JPMorganChase in Singapore seeks a seasoned Software Engineer III to design and deliver scalable, secure technology products as part of Global Portfolio Holdings Technology. You will work in an agile team to ship software quickly with automated tests, CD, and reliability at the core.

You will collaborate across regions, apply AI-assisted development tools, and help evolve microservices and data-driven solutions while maintaining high standards of security and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Formal Training and certification on software engineering and 3+ years of applied experience.
• Experience with Java/Python using TDD/BDD in a large corporate environment.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Python, ReactJS, EMR and AWS services.
• Experience in Reactive Programming.
• Hands-on with Redis, ElasicCache and Kafka/IBM MQ.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL, and event-driven architectures.
• Fluency with AI coding tools and AI-assisted development.
• Understanding of SDLC and secure coding practices.
• Awareness of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions with robust design and troubleshooting.
• Create high-quality production code and maintain algorithms.
• Collaborate with architects and designers on new products.
• Promote Agile practices including Scrum, Lean, and CD.
• Research new tech and share best practices across the org.
• Work with globally distributed teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Leverage AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and speed.
• Utilize SDLC tools to enhance automation and value.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex apps.
• Analyze data to visualize insights for improvement.
• Identify hidden data patterns to improve coding hygiene and architecture.
