Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD invites a motivated finance professional to join our Finance Division as Principal Finance Executive on a 1-year temporary contract in Singapore. You will independently manage day-to-day fixed assets accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting under SB-FRS.

Beyond operations, you will partner with business stakeholders, advise on fixed assets treatments, resolve issues, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably in fixed assets accounting and management within the public sector or a large organisation.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, SB-FRS, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Meticulous with numbers, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, resourceful and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of AI tools, SAP, data analytics and visualisation tools, or Robotic Process Automation (RPA) will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage end-to-end fixed assets accounting operations for the assigned portfolio.
• Handle asset capitalisation, transfers and disposals, and perform reconciliations.
• Support stakeholders in completing fixed assets confirmation exercises and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, maintain complete and accurate asset records, and address audit queries.
• Review assets-under-construction balances and capitalisation issues; prepare financial reports.
