Job summary

Public Utilities Board (PUB) invites applications for an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer in the Water Reclamation (Network) Department. This frontline role supports the shift team in managing sewerage and sanitary feedback with timely resolutions and strong stakeholder engagement.

You will lead hands-on field investigations, supervise a small team, assess site conditions, determine root causes, and coordinate with internal and external parties to close cases while upholding safety

Qualifications

Diploma in civil, mechanical or environmental engineering.
Able to perform shift duties.
Able to perform physically-demanding and hands-on field work.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgement and safety awareness.
Good communication skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team to respond to and perform hands-on site investigations and resolutions of sewerage and sanitary feedback and incidents according to SOPs.
Assess site conditions, identify root causes, determine and implement resolutions, escalate as needed.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to obtain case details, report findings, provide progress updates and follow-up actions.
Record, monitor and track progress of cases, coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely closure.
Review and verify job cards and work orders to ensure proper documentation by first response teams.
Analyse feedback data to propose changes to workflows and SOPs.
Perform operations centre duties including receiving feedback and deploying first response teams.
