Job summary

PUB Public Utilities Board - SGP is seeking an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer to join the frontline first response shift team within the Water Reclamation (Network) Department. You will manage sewerage and sanitary feedback, ensuring timely resolution and high standards of stakeholder engagement.

You will lead investigations, assess site conditions, engage stakeholders, and coordinate with internal teams to follow up and close cases in line with service standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma in civil, mechanical or environmental engineering.
• Able to perform shift duties.
• Physically demanding field work in used water environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving with safety awareness.
• Good communication with the public, contractors and stakeholders.
• Valid Class 3/3A driving license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team to respond to and perform hands-on site investigations and resolutions of sewerage and sanitary feedback.
• Assess site conditions, identify root causes, determine resolutions, report progress, and escalate when needed.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to obtain case details and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Record, monitor, and track case details and status with stakeholders to ensure timely closure.
• Review job cards and work orders to ensure documentation meets contract requirements.
• Analyze feedback data to propose workflow improvements and SOP updates.
• Perform operations centre duties and other duties as assigned.
