Job summary

Flexxon seeks a Firmware Engineer to join our R&D team to develop low-level embedded software and BSPs for our X-PHY hardware platforms. You will leverage C/C++, Python, and Shell scripting to build robust firmware, driver stacks, and user-space applications on Customized Embedded Linux boards.

The ideal candidate has strong embedded Linux experience, familiarity with SoC/FPGA bring-up, and exposure to AMD Xilinx ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in low-level firmware and software development using C and C++.
• Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation and hardware testing.
• Experience with Embedded Linux development, BSP customization, device drivers, and device trees using Yocto or Buildroot.
• Proven track record in developing user-space applications and SDKs for embedded Linux targets.
• Good understanding of SoC architectures, board bring-up, and common interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, Ethernet).

Responsibilities

• Firmware & Embedded Software: Develop, debug, and maintain low-level firmware and system software using C and C++.
• Embedded Linux & BSP Development: Develop and customize Embedded Linux BSPs, device drivers, bootloaders (U-Boot), and kernel configurations.
• Application & SDK Development: Implement user-space applications and SDKs on customized Embedded Linux boards using C/C++.
• Automation & Scripting: Write test automation scripts, build utilities, and workflow tools using Python and Shell scripting.
• Hardware Bring-Up & Debugging: Participate in initial board bring-up and debug hardware-software interactions with lab tools.
• FPGA & System Acceleration Integration: Collaborate on SoC/FPGA co-design, integrate custom IP cores, PetaLinux configurations, and acceleration frameworks.
• Code Quality & Documentation: Perform peer code reviews and maintain precise technical documentation.
