Job summary

CMC Markets in Singapore seeks a qualified finance professional with 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services, to manage reporting, reconciliations, and audit tasks. You will coordinate with the Finance Director and support MAS reporting cycles while handling funding queries in English and Mandarin.

The role requires strong Excel/Oracle skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Cantonese not required.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting / CPA qualified (or equivalent).
• 5 years accounting experience, preferably in financial services.
• Strong accounting knowledge required.
• English & Mandarin fluency for funding queries and translation.

Responsibilities

• Preparing daily MAS internal self compliance reports and weekly/quarterly MAS forms on a rotational basis.
• Preparation of monthly Management Accounts.
• Handle finance and payments queries in the absence of the Manager.
• Reconcile SGD client and operating bank accounts; clear outstanding items promptly.
• Assist in preparing Monthly Legal Entity Pack and Year End Audit notes.

Job description

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing daily MAS internal self compliance reports, weekly MAS report, Quarterly MAS form 1 & 2, Quarterly I/E and GST return on a rotational basis.
• Preparation of monthly Management Accounts
• Responsible for any Finance and Payments queries in the absence of the Manager.
• Preparing SGD client and operating bank reconciliation and to ensure any outstanding items are cleared in a timely manner.
• Checking of foreign currencies daily client bank reconciliation.
• Assist the Finance Director in the preparation of the Monthly Legal Entity Pack.
• Assist the Finance Director in the Year End Audit process that includes preparation of statutory reports and notes to accounts.
• Responsible for liaison of any efficiency project work both internally and externally and continue to streamline the existing process.
• Any other tasks as required by supervisor.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and coordination with Group FP&A

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Qualification

Degree in accounting /CPA qualified

Experience

5 years of accounting experience preferably in financial services industry. Strong accounting knowledge is required

Computer Literacy

Proficient in MS Office and Oracle are preferred

Macro knowledge is preferred.

Language

Must possess strong communication & written skills in both English & Mandarin to handle funding queries from our retail/institutional clients as well as to do translation when payment instruction needs to be updated in Mandarin.
