Job summary

AJM CATERERS PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a seasoned Finance Lead to manage the finance function across multiple entities. You will review bookkeeping in Xero, deliver management accounts every two weeks, and drive cost and tax efficiencies while supervising one Finance Executive.

You’ll oversee GST filings, corporate income tax, year-end statements, and multi-entity reporting, coordinating audits and filing XBRL with ACRA.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or Finance; ACCA, CA (Singapore) or equivalent preferred.
• Hands-on Xero experience, including month-end close and multi-entity reporting.
• Working knowledge of Singapore GST, corporate income tax and ACRA XBRL filing.
• Has led or closely supported a statutory audit.
• Comfortable adopting AI and new tools, with data security awareness.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve bookkeeping in Xero: AP, AR, bank reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Run random audits of POS sales against Xero and payment settlements using AI tools to flag mismatches.
• Deliver management accounts every 2 weeks: P&L by outlet, balance sheet and cash flow for each entity and group view.
• Track key F&B ratios, prepare budgets and forecasts, and explain variances.
• Review quarterly GST returns for each entity and ensure input tax is claimed and output tax paid on time.
• Manage corporate income tax (ECI, Form C/C-S).
• Prepare year-end financial statements and consolidate accounts; coordinate audits and XBRL filings with ACRA.
• Maintain rolling 13-week cash flow forecast, plan supplier payments, and manage bank relationships and reserves.
• Oversee invoicing and statements for B2B/B2G/B2C; ensure AR is cleared monthly.
• Improve Xero setup, automate routine work, and document finance SOPs.

We are a growing F&B group with multiple brands and legal entities. We're a lean, hands-on team, and we use AI and smart tools to work more efficiently.

About the role

You will lead our finance function across multiple entities. That means reviewing our bookkeeping in Xero, delivering management accounts every 2 weeks, and finding ways to reduce costs and taxes. You'll supervise one Finance Executive and take on the more complex work yourself.

What you'll do

• Review and approve bookkeeping in Xero: AP, AR, bank reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Run random audits of POS sales (AppzPOS, Revel) against Xero and payment settlements, using AI tools to flag mismatches.
• Deliver management accounts every 2 weeks: P&L by outlet, plus a balance sheet and cash flow for each entity and a group view.
• Track key F&B ratios (food cost %, manpower cost %, outlet EBITDA), prepare budgets and forecasts, and explain variances.
• Review quarterly GST returns for each entity and make sure input tax is fully claimed and output tax is paid on time.
• Manage corporate income tax (ECI, Form C / C-S), and find and put in place legitimate tax savings, incentives and grants.
• Prepare year-end financial statements and consolidated accounts, coordinate audits, and file XBRL and Annual Returns with ACRA.
• Maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast, plan supplier payments, and manage bank relationships and reserves.
• Oversee invoicing and statements of account for B2B, B2G and B2C clients, and make sure AR is cleared monthly.
• Improve the Xero setup and integrations, automate routine work, and document finance SOPs.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Accountancy or Finance; ACCA, CA (Singapore) or equivalent preferred.
• At least 5 years in accounting, including 2+ years reviewing or supervising others' work.
• Hands-on Xero experience, including month-end close and multi-entity reporting.
• Working knowledge of Singapore GST, corporate income tax and ACRA XBRL filing.
• Has led or closely supported a statutory audit.
• Comfortable adopting AI and new tools, with good awareness of data security.
• F&B, retail or multi-outlet experience is a plus, but not required.
